Before I want to see it. Does the play maintain the fact that Luigi is only alleged at this point? Or do they just assume he did the adjusting?
Luigi Mangione probably is some random patsy the state chose. But he might represent in the play the real killer, whose identity we’ll probably never know.
They could have called his character John Doe but this is entertainment, not reality.
The way you worded this it sounds like you’re speculating? Do you know the play and how it represents it?
Your explanation could work as well as there are other ways I could see it represented fairly, but what does the play actually do?
In a related article they mention the play is a few prisoners including Luigi reflecting on their crimes in a comical absurdist manner. The play assumes Luigi is guilty, which is a false assumption as he is literally not.
What does the court do in cases where the whole state knows about the trial? I would assume it would be hard to find unbiased people.
See: the OJ trial.
Often secluding the jury
There is a procedure for this. It’s called the “Jeffrey” rule.
I’d go see a live street performance or two.
You know shit is fucked up when they make musicals about murderers.
Alleged
Well, I’m sure it’s about the person who killed healthcare CEO, whoever that person is, not necessarily Luigi.
The footage was doctored; the CEOs body actually just did that- no killer
The CEO was the murderer.
Oh so they weren’t murdered? They shot themselves on a NYC street?
Which people?
…the CEO?
Who else?
I thought it was about Luigi, not the CEO of United Healthcare.
He’s as much a murderer as you, e.g. not a murderer. Neither of you have been convicted of murder.
Chicago
Sweeney Todd
This is the greatest one word rebuttal I think I’ll ever see
If you’d have been there, if you had seen it, I betcha you would have done the same!
It’s also the main inspiration for the Luigi musical.
May introduce you to Sweeny Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street?
Never heard of Sweeney Todd, eh? Or MacBeth, or Julius Caesar, or Hamlet, or Oedipus Rex…
Poppin’ pussies into pies
Yes that was also fucked up, than you for elaborating on my point.
Not everyone can cater to your delicate sensibilities. Bad things happen in real life. Avoiding those themes in at would be boring and naive.
I never suggested they should be avoided.
Then shits been fucked up for centuries.
