Audio interfaces still face so many issues on Linux. Part of that might be down to drivers, and that’s on the manufacturers, but often there’s just excessive latency and stuttering.

I mean, yeah, screw using Logic but most major DAWs run on macOS as well as Windows. Up until Linux pulls its finger out its arse on audio it’s pawbably going to stay a macOS dominated industry.
You generalised to all porn games. Now you’re moving the goalposts again. This move by Visa/Mastercard has been affecting all NSFW games. Just like I don’t think it’s objectionable to have sex depicted in a movie, I don’t think it’s objectionable to have sex in a game. Adults can choose what content they consume. Payment processors should be forced to be common carriers.
You’re obviously just trying to twist my words. Porn has to be consensual, otherwise it’s just abuse material. Hence the term CSAM being advocated rather than CP these days.
Porn is art, there’s no compromising on that without throwing someone under the bus. Respectability politics == throwing people under the bus for not being “respectable” enough. It’s been a huge issue in LGBTQ advocacy for a really long time.
I never said that it can’t be effective, I just don’t believe we should all suffer a massive erosion in our privacy for it. There are other ways to deal with crime.
I dunno, I personally think respectability politics is garbage but ya know, To Each Their Own.
Replying my same comment from elsewhere to you as well:
Yes but the payment processors didn’t say “you’re not allowed to sell this game with our service” they said “you’re not allowed to sell this game period or we walk”.

Someone’s drunk the “governments only erode our privacy to stop terrorism” coolaid yeesh.
blahaj has one!
All of your points are quite valid. Personally, I would go for a whitelist over a blacklist.
…and just how important is it to render foreign domains properly?
This is such a western-centric take, and it makes me quite sad…
While that’s a reasonable take, I think you could selectively render domains in non-latin scripts while blacklisting those greek/cyrillic letters that match latin ones, falling back to the “燋.com” formatting. Though I guess that would be a lot harder.
The global smartphone screen protectors market size was estimated at $49.73 billion in 2022and the global protective cover market was anticipated to reach $21.89 billion in that same year.
That’s insane, are screen protectors really twice the market size of phone cases??
This is how it’s supposed to look, wish Lemmy/Voyager did a better job here:
I dunno, I fixed it at the time because I saw the post but I had to go digging a bit. I think they could have done a better job of disseminating that information wider.
So is HDMI? Smaller connectors aren’t always better, and it’s not like it’s SCART size or something.
It’s easy to make that claim, but this has happened to me without even using ASIO, so it’s using the common standard audio interface mode.
