Always make sure that QBT uses your VPN’s network interface. I got some DMCA emails despite split-tunneling a VPN recently, and I realized it was bound to all interfaces by default - that’s no good.

How so? They work fine on me between laptop and desktop, phone and desktop, etc.
It really isn’t. You don’t even need to port forward, you can use AnyDesk or TeamViewer or any other option entirely for free. There are also open-source options too.
Where are they going? There’s no way it’s Linux, right? So I guess it’s Mac?
Well yeah, they have to hoard your advertising data somehow. How else can they advertise things that you don’t need to buy?
You’re right, I’m an abuse enabler because I made an observation about companies being shitty. Very well said.
Saying “You’re not alone” is supposed to be a wholesome thing to show someone that you care. Instead, it’s AI companies squeezing as much data out of customers and injecting as much AI into everything they can.
Society really took a wrong turn didn’t it?
Just unfortunate timing I would think lol
Great minds think alike I guess.
I think that’s something they have, yeah. It’s kind of unheard of to me. I can only imagine public servants like librarians or library assistants getting stalked, harassed, etc because their info is publicly available for anyone to access.
Yet they will never be replaced, sadly.
They get all of the credit and none of the blame.
That’s pretty much how it goes yeah lol
I’d actually argue enterprise is more likely for people to switch, there’s a lot of Linux sysadmins out there, and there’s a lot of Linux in enterprise environments, and of course especially servers.
Unless you have specific requirements for specific software that runs only on Windows, getting away from Microsoft can be a pretty tempting prospect. Even if there are people who fear change and the idea of change like the plague.
I’ve been working from home with my older family members since COVID started and I’ve been pretty happy since it’s always been my goal. I’ve also had a knee injury for the past 3 weeks, and it’s potentially prevented me from making it worse, and allowed me to continue working. I’ve almost been working remotely for the majority of my career, which is kind of cool to think about. I like working from home, but I understand not everyone likes it.
Honestly, I’d probably sooner retire from tech and work something else if I was forced to go back into an office.
Okaerinasaimase, goshujinsama
did you think of all the taxes they’ll cut from the rich? no, you only think about yourself and what will happen to you in an emergency
This is what it comes down to.
Rich people matter.
A 20 minute video on how to replace your battery with batteries that are glued down and you need a pry tool to remove them and hopefully not puncture them is not exactly what I would call user-replaceable batteries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFxS5wQ5Bhc
I’m talking about ones like the Samsung Galaxy S3, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS, etc had where you could just open the cover, take the battery out, and then put the new one in.
The hardware was certainly designed to be less repairable and phones less upgradable. Gone are the days with user-replaceable batteries and MicroSD card slots.
Sure if that was all they had in mind. This is also about collecting info and controlling what people can do, the content is just an excuse as a means of doing so.
How is that better? If you configure your firewall rules incorrectly, this protects you against that. This ensures you have no connection if your VPN isn’t on/isn’t working.
