Linux Distros (so far) Refusing Age Verification
EDIT
I recommend going to Ageless Linux’s site and reading up on their take on the whole issue. They clearly illustrate how poorly thought out the California law is.

Why do I get the feeling I will be distro hopping in the not-too-distant future?

Google meant THEIR economic growth.

I bought a refurbished Pixel 6 Pro, carrier unlocked, for around $250. I also switched to an MVNO called Tello, and couldn’t be happier. If I should need to switch carriers, it’s going to be to another MVNO. I’m done with the major carriers.

One of the best feelings for me ever was when I cancelled my Micro$oft account after switching to Mint.
The freshness is real.

Shoutout to the crew at Lutris for their gaming platform as well. I play Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online with it, and couldn’t be more pleased with the performance.

uBlock origin works fine in Vivaldi. It comes with its own ad blocker (based of of uBlock, I think). I’m not sure what their stance on Manifest v3 is. I would recommend hitting up their site https://vivaldi.com/

Yah. I’m a bit of a tab lightweight, I s’pose.

Honestly, it’s been so long since I used Firefox, I really don’t have a frame of reference. I’ll just say that I find the speed adequate for my needs, and I have multiple tabs open (12+).

I’m a fan of Vivaldi browser. Works great on Linux and Android. Bonus: Their leadership has gone on record stating there will be no AI in their browser.
Kagi and Startpage are my go-to search engines these days.
I have a paid Kagi account and feel it is very much worth the investment.
