pro tip if you don’t want to buy another cap (or you don’t live in europe/US and only way to buy is by buying enough to open your own trackpad cap’s store):
You can remove the cap, put a piece of soft paper or cotton inside the cap’s hole and it will give you more leverage.
It is basically the same effect of using a taller cap.
You will need to tweak the amount of cotton/tissue to your taste, but I can use my trackpad with 3.0 sensitivity.

Thinkpads used to be quality machines, but my last two laptops broke after just a year. One was keyboard, other was mouse pad.
Is it really that hard to put quality components in parts that are physically touched a lot?
Im going for some other brand next time but they all kind of suck now it seems.
Frameworks are the only good worthy successor imo.
I’m not that familiar with newer ThinkPads as I only ever used a L540 and a T420, but can’t you just replace the trackpad or keyboard if it breaks?
I prefer the nub over the track pad any day of the week.
