Which is far fewer than US imperialism across any comparible time scale.Over the last 5,000 years: millions.

Colonialism is so last century.
Now it’s all about economic exploitation, backed by the threat of military force and covert manipulation of local government. It’s a much more efficient and cost effective. And when everything of value has been exploited, you can just walk away claiming they were never a colony and it’s not your problem.
Now we have neocolonialism!
