      It makes sense if you read all the red speech bubbles and then go back and read the blue ones. Each character is monologuing, not having a conversation

        Loss is a shroud worn by the living

        Like, what loss? What do you mean by shroud? Why specifically are the living wearing it?

          People in the past or future don’t have to worry about what’s lost or gained, only living people in the present get to worry about it because they have a choice on what will be lost and what won’t, so it’s our(for now) turn in the timeline to wear the “shroud” of loss and decide what value to give everything around us, is that species worth losing, what about life of someone far away, truth is worth losing? Steak? Connections? No one blames present people for wanting to enjoy themselves they shouldn’t have this responsibility, but they do, everyone is counting on you, here’s your shroud, good luck!
