Humans are weird and UX wants the web app to behave how humans expect it to behave. That’s how we got here. There’s a whole host of reasons why manipulating browser history is awful, but here we are.


My employer has been axing so many high level engineers it’s not even funny. I think that’s terrible for engineer morale. Why would you want to strive to improve and get promoted if it just makes you “too expensive to keep on payroll”?

I also find it a bit strange that people are not allowed to express their dissatisfaction with the current system without having perfect reasoning as to why AND a holistic solution to their situation. I think you should be able to say “I’m not sure this is working” without also having the burden of being the architect of the future world laid upon you.
For me, watching soccer is fun sometimes because I used to play a lot. I get to compare my experience to a professional one. But even then, I’m not an avid fan. I don’t follow any teams or know player names etc.
What’s weird to me is so many people watching sports they’ve never even considered playing.
